Just wondering? Or at least the stalls near the subways, right? If I have to gift flowers on Sunday…. do I have to buy them on Saturday?
Holland Blumen is opened on Sun. from 9am to either 3pm or 5pm depending on the location of the shop. Here is their site:
Check the yellow pages for a florist near you (in the field “wo” put your BLZ instead of wien). They list their hours and it seems some are open Sunday for some period: http://www.herold.at/gelbe-seiten/wien/was_blumen/
For the truly desperate, the gas stations usually have flowers.
Flower Shops at Underground Stations are also open on Sundays. The one at Heiligenstadt is always open on Sundays ( U4 end station).
Sunday is the big “florist day” in Austria in general, when people visit grandparents and cemeteries. I.e: yes. Most of them are.
