My father has lived in Vienna for 30 years, he has now died. I need information on moving his things back to USA. I am only here until 29 NOV, so time is short. So far, I have about 175 kg of items packed in 15 cartons, mostly fine china dishes, crystal wares that he brought here from USA in 1986. Need guidance with shippers, procedures- I am in trouble. Consulate only says to find a “spedition” on Google and talk to them. I did so, and they have now said they will not ship my load. Also, I don’t know the procedure for duties, etc., These items were brought here, I simply must bring them home- family heirlooms, photo slides, etc. Fragile and irreplaceable.
